Creators Crossing – Go with the Glow! is an event for Finnish audiovisual industry professionals interested in the possibilities of cross platform productions mixing virtual production, gaming aspects and VFX.

The goal of the event is to highlight important aspects of the audiovisual business and help the ICT and gaming sectors which Oulu is famous for to find synergy with the film and TV industry.

The event takes place in Oulu, Nov 18th, under the same roof as Northern Glow Business Forum*.

All the production companies interested in hearing more about the theme and meeting our international and domestic experts are welcome to the event!

Speakers’ bios:

Todd Brown joined XYZ Films in 2009 as Head of International Acquisitions. In his time at XYZ, Brown has shown a strong focus on emerging talent and territories and has served as a producer or executive producer on a wide range on Cannes, Toronto, and Sundance selected titles such as the Raid, Spring, Bushwick, XX and many more. Outside of his work at XYZ, Brown is also the head of the Macao Project Market – an international co-production market focused on projects that bridge Asian and Western elements that operates as part of the International Film Festival and Awards Macao.

Neil McPhillips is working as Head of Games (Operations) in Blazing Griffin, located in Glasgow. Blazing Griffin is a digital entertainment company driving innovation at the dynamic intersection between film, games & post production. BAFTA-award studio is best known for the murderous multiplayer franchise The Ship and its spiritual successor Murderous Pursuits.

Tomi Nieminen is one of the most acclaimed VFX professionals in Finland. He has worked for several Hollywood’s A-list feature films such as Captain America – Winter Soldier, Passengers and Alien: Covenant, and many Finnish films and drama series as Tove and White Wall. Tomi works at the moment at Helsinki based full-service post production house Post Control. IMDb

Tanu-Matti Tuominen is Director and Partner in IPR.VC – a venture capital investor focused on media and entertainment content. Tanu-Matti is experienced entrepreneur in IPR industry as well as awarded writer, strategist, creative director, and venture capital investor.

Laura Sutinen is Partnership Director at Red Carpet Brand Alliances. She has been working in the film industry in Finland and abroad both in productions, and sales & marketing. The latest productions she has been working at are Unknown Soldier, Dual and What Remains, an international feature film that is currently in production in Turku. At RBCA Sutinen develops suitable sponsorship models together with production companies. Her goal is to find the best partners for the sponsors and productions.
