APFI’s webinar series Backstage of Tech – Story of Sustainable Technology and AI consists of three online sessions on the sustainability of our digital world.

From day-to-day work, AI and cloud services to virtual production and post-production workflows, our industry relies heavily on energy-intensive digital infrastructure. As technological advances reshape the AV-industry, how can we ensure a sustainable and responsible transformation? 

APFI presents the webinar series “Backstage of Tech – Story of Sustainable Tech and AI”. In three free sessions, Finnish and international experts dive into the environmental impact of digitalization and AI, explore sustainable practices in the industry with examples from VFX, virtual production and animation, and highlights Finland’s approach to technological advancements. 

Through talks, case studies and discussions, “Backstage of Tech” sets off towards a sustainable digital future. 

The webinar series is free and open for all. Registration required for each session separately.

Session 2: Dissecting the Approach and Tools

Technological advancement – in the AV-industry and in Finland in general – needs to go hand in hand with sustainability initiatives. Session 2 explores GenAI, the conversational climate on sustainable tech, and a case study on implementation in the AV-industry.

The moderators are APFI’s Anne Puolanne and Alina Huldén.

The event will be mainly in English. The audience will be able to ask questions of the speakers in Finnish or English.

The event will be recorded.
