APFI organizes two industry sessions together with Tampere Film Festival this week: ”Cross-Cultural Management in International Co-Productions” on Friday 12th and ”Intersectionality, Inclusion and Equality in Film and TV Productions” on Saturday 13th of March.

Cross-cultural Management in International Co-productions, Friday March 12th at 12–13.15

In this industry session we will delve into leadership of international crews in film and TV productions. One of the most important aspects of working on international projects is how to navigate and interpret different cultural procedures between the members of the crew. The panelists will share their experiences from their recent international productions and tell us what role culture plays in successful management.

The goal of this industry session is to focus on how to take our audiovisual industry towards a more equal and inclusive future. Panelists will discuss how our film and TV industry currently reflects the point of view of indigenous peoples and immigrants. How are these two minority groups portrayed in the media? And how can we improve the situation through clear, concrete actions?
